Our first regatta of the season was a wet one. With Ottawa rendering a classic shifty and puffy breeze, we had to keep our heads out of the boat and our reflexes sharp - any moment of distraction lead to a quick dip in the water. The conditions were challenging, and pushed our limits. What we learned from this weekend was extremely valuable. We have found our weaknesses and are ready to spend the hours on water to turn those into strengths. Practice makes perfect. Time to buckle down and train!
