OUR TEAM
Virginie and Simone decided to become sailing partners after realising that they are linked by a passion for sailing. They have the same desire to pursue this sport, and to represent their country internationally; they dream of hearing the Canadian national anthem on the podium in Tokyo 2020. They are dedicated and they are ready to overcome any obstacles. Their support for each other is a key element in this adventure; their dreams rest on their partnership.
Virginie started sailing when she was 6 years old. She started sailing competitively only two years later. She discovered very quickly that she wanted to spend her life sailing. Passing by the Laser Radial and the 29er, she wants to sail to Tokyo in the new 49erFX. She loves skiffs due to their intensity, their speed and the teamwork that they demand. It's a boat that needs an expert skipper and Virginie is ready to show her hard work and her talents. She adores the 49erFX because it demands hard work but is also pleasure in its purest form!

Simone started sailing at 10 years old. She rapidly fell in love with the sport; it's a perfect mix of hard work and freedom. Simone sailed the Laser Radial for three years on the Provincial circuit, realising that she would rather sail a faster boat with a partner. She loves that the 49erFX allows her to work hard physically and be competitive at high speeds!
